Gangneung is rich in culture and tradition, particularly in regards to the Gangneung Danoje festival, which has been designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Gangneung is rich in mythical tales, legends, and fresh narratives passed down through generations.

Gangneung's local stories, resources, cultural heritage, Olympic cultural assets, and human resources
provide ample opportunity for it to become a cultural and tourist hub.

Our goal is to create local cultural content that utilizes Gangneung's cultural heritage,
enrich its luxurious spaces with compelling stories, and develop performances that showcase the harmonious coexistence of nature and art.
Ultimately, we aim to make Gangneung a beloved destination that is sought after by people from all around the world.

Starting with the 2023 Gangneung Tourism Brand Performance Festival "Gangneung is a Theater,”
we aim to create a storytelling industry that dreams of globalization based on Gangneung's rich humanistic spirit.
We will create a new normal for festivals by combining Gangneung's local stories, spaces, and human resources in a complex manner.
We will enhance Gangneung's urban competitiveness through contents that utilize the region's unique cultural characteristics.
We will rediscover the stories of Gangneung and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and job creation through cultural tourism content.
