The main character, Jeong Dong-jin, is left heartbroken after a sudden breakup with a lover in Jeongdongjin, a place that stirs nostalgia for train journeys. She stays in Jeongdongjin for a year, encountering all kinds of love and people along the way. Diverse characters speak of love in their own ways against the backdrop of Jeongdongjin, capturing the audience’s eyes, while the busker group Wuseo captures their ears with songs about love.

• Synopsis

Fifty-year-old Noeul and Donghee are lifelong natives who have lived in Jeongdongjin longer than anyone else.Donghee lost her beloved husband and child in a tragic accident, and the shock left her mentally fragile.Noeul, a former station worker at Jeongdongjin Railway Station, now spends his days at the station, longing for his spouse who passed away before him. Each day, he meets travellers who come and go and gazes out at the sea.
The main character, Dongjin, came to Jeongdongjin for the first time a year ago and broke up with her boyfriend there. Since then, she has settled in Jeongdongjin.Noeul and Dongjin, who met that year, have since become the closest of friends.Dongjin works as a guesthouse manager and earns money by taking Polaroid photos of visitors passing through Jeongdongjin.
Siwoo, Dongjin’s boyfriend of five years, had promised to marry her. But a year ago, when they first came to Jeongdongjin, Siwoo chose to end their relationship.Now, a year later, Siwoo returns to Jeongdongjin. This is the story of those who come and go — of loves, joys, sorrows, and the memories left behind in Jeongdongjin, and of those who remain.
