The Messy Magic Adventure by Rollicking Entertainment is a laugh-out-loud physical comedy for children and families, blending slapstick, circus, and magic into a whirlwind of fun. Since premiering at Christchurch’s World Buskers Festival, it has sold out theatres across New Zealand, including Circa Theatre, Nelson Arts Festival, and Arts on Tour NZ.

Created and performed by award-winning duo Lizzie Tollemache and David Ladderman, this interactive show invites audiences to join a chaotic quest to contain runaway magic. Spray and Wipe have just landed their most important—and trickiest—job yet: cleaning the house of a real-life magician. It all starts out simple enough… until curiosity gets the better of them, and they accidentally open a mysterious box. Out flies the magic—wild, unpredictable, and impossible to control!

Suddenly, the magician’s once-orderly home is in total chaos. Furniture floats, objects vanish and reappear, and with each passing moment, things get messier and messier. The clock is ticking—the magician could walk through the door at any moment!

Spray and Wipe can’t do it alone. They need the audience’s help to wrangle the runaway magic and get everything back in its place before disaster strikes. Will they succeed in restoring order—or will the house (and the audience) be swept away in a whirlwind of magical mayhem?
